  1. It looks super nice to me, are you not too harsh on the picture? I relate to what you say as especially in the winter so many pictures seem difficult to achieve in the grey and dark Brussels…
The taste must have been so delicious ! ❤️ definitely a recipe to try…

  2. It doesn’t look ugly, Oksana. Looks crispy and that’s what is important for a rosti, right. I haven’t tried rosti with celeriac but sounds delicious. Just yesterday I was reading a post by Maunika Goverdhan where someone was being very negative and rude and insulting. As you said negativity is everywhere and we need to focus on positive and find peace within. 🤗🤗. Happy Tuesday ❤️❤️

  3. Rostis never work for me! No idea why🤷🏽‍♀️ I hope you are ok Oksana❤️❤️❤️

  4. Maybe the potatoes were the ‘wrong’ kind? I made a gratin dauphinois for my parents last night and it didn’t quite work. Very disappointed but you live and learn

  5. It looks smashing Oksana! You’ve solved the problem so well 🤩 😍
Actually I had a problem with my dinner preparations yesterday as well… And I was thinking about not posting my deconstructed rice cake. You’ve made me think about it again and I might post it later this week. To be continued 🤣❤️

  6. I think it looks FABULOUS! My philosophy is serve it up and nobody will know. If the ingredients are good then so is the outcome. After dinner when the compliments start then if you feel the need, mention the flaw. No one will care because you made a memorable dish. 😍.

  7. Some days are definitely harder than others – hoping today, and today’s meal are both easier. That said, this sounds like a very interesting recipe, and you did an admirable job of mid-cook recipe editing.

  8. Oh yes I know these days! And I had this cooking problem with a recipe that didn’t turn out well on the weekend with the “Braised chickpeas with carrots, dates and feta” from the first OTK cookbook. I don’t know if the dried chickpeas were too old, but nothing worked. In the end I had a brown mash not a stew, totally unworthy for a picture, but the mash tasted good, at least. 😂 Coming back to your “deconstructed” rösti, which by the way looks delicious, I had the same issue with the Latkes recipe from “Jerusalem”. The latkes did not hold. The only guess I have is that the potatoes in the UK differ from the ones we use in France in Germany. 😂

  9. I don’t see a problem with it. Not everything in life is smooth and silky. I love how gnarly this Rosti looks. And you just gave me an idea for a recipe for our weekend. Happy and healthy Tuesday to you too ❤️❤️❤️

  10. If you’d said these were your greatest triumph I’d have believed you – they look brilliantly rustic! And of course the taste is what matters most. Showing great resilience in transforming a disappointment into something positive and reassuring us all that things aren’t always perfect but that’s ok! Sending love and hope you have a good day ❤️

  11. I always say, as long as it tastes good, it’s a win 😌 Even with all the obstacles, you made it look good ❤️

  12. I’m sure the flavour and textures were there, and regardless, you share so many recipes and photos of perfectly made food…all good!!! 🎉🎉

  13. Here in the US when ever the news reports on inflation they bring up the whopping increase in eggs. In Hawaii you pay $10 a dozen, New York $8 a dozen and California $7 a dozen. I’m not affected being vegan and my eggs are made from Mung Beans (still fascinates me)

  14. Yes, we need to step back and just remember, it’s just one day, tomorrow will a fresh start. 😉
