  1. You’ve turned it into a feast again! Sounds so simple, and yet so attractive 😍😍😍👏😋😋😋. I don’t completely agree on the beans. Although I certainly don’t mind the beans “well done”, indeed very tasty 😋, I’m also a fan of shortly blanched “al dente” beans that still have a bite.

  2. I’m with you on well cooked beans🙌. Growing up we had canned beans but even fresh ones were slow cooked (typically with a ham hock or some bacon for salt and flavor as well as fat). None of the al dente non fat ones in salads etc! The only time I like them blanched is if they are the really thin tender beans but they are so hard to find! Although I do love Sichuan green beans that are scorched in the wok, but they fall under the cooked category is done right 😂 this sounds like my kind of dish!

  4. I didn’t realise it was worth frozen beans and am grateful for that St this time of year. You can definitely see that Joe was influenced by Olia here, as I am sure there is a similar one in Mamushka and she has quite a few Armenian recipes. Perfect lunch with the egg for extra protein 😍

  5. My lunch today is green beans in tomato sauce, Spanish style (which i just lernt is very much like the Armenian style😉)👏👏😍😍!!! It so tasty and delicious! I loved them. It is comfort food for me and i completely agree with you about the well cooked beans. What a fabulous meal and beautiful shot Oksana!😍😍😋😋❤️❤️❤️

  6. Your photo took me straight back to Turkey, and the plate of beans I was served that looked just like these. Contrary to your comment, I wondered why they couldn’t just be lightly sauteed with a dash of garlic and maybe lemon juice. I wanted the colour and crunch. Especially as Turkey’s fresh produce is absolutely amazing.

  7. Looks like sunshine, Oksana. We’re team fully cooked green beans too. Most Indian dishes which have beans have fully cooked beans. One of the dishes I make is green beans and aubergine. After a tempering of mustard seeds and cumin seeds, chopped green beans, aubergine and tomato goes in. Turmeric powder and red chilli powder, salt and little water to help move things along. Delicious dish where texture is wonderfully soft. Food is truly global, isn’t it. Happy Tuesday ❤️

  8. Definitely a matter of taste. My husband loves them green and very crunchy whereas I love them the way Olia and you make them: almost stewed in tomatoes, which does transform their texture but also the flavor is incredible. And I have to say, the best greens beans cooked that way are not the green beans (haricots verts) but the yellow/wax beans (haricots jaunes). But probably also debatable and a matter of personal taste. 😉 Either way, beautiful dish, dear Oksana, it was a staple on my family’s table when I was a child, with yellow/wax beans. 😉😍😍😍

  9. Both ways with beans are good. Sometimes it feels like green and crunchy, other times like soft and rich. And Armenian food is so incredibly delicious. Hopefully that will pick up. Beautiful platter, Oksana, as always!😍😍😍

  10. The only way I like my green beans crunchy is in a salad❤️. Cooked like this I take flavour over looks anytime. And it still looks good to me 😍. Love the two Ying and Yang eggs on top 🙌

  13. From time to time I cook my beans very slowly with lot’s of garlic, little oil and water. Looks delicious with tomatoes and fried eggs. 💛💕

  14. This is similar to a favorite Lebanese dish, ‘Lubyi Bi Zayt.’ Green Beans in oil. I serve it with basmati rice which has lemon zest, two smashed cloves of garlic, s&p and chopped parsley added at the end after fluffing the rice.
